So it turns out that Dean figures the best time to give Kim a joyride (in the car, relax dude) is when they're not in a city that has a job.

Not that he thinks she couldn't handle it (he does), but because it's just simpler all around. That and he doesn't have to weather Sammy's death-glare. At least not much.
